Overview

Kingsley Engineering Service Corporation is introducing a Biological Sewage Treatment Plant for Tarasima Apparels Ltd., a leading company under the Bitopi Group, located in Golora, Kaitta, Manikganj. Kingsley is taking charge of the entire process including design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the 25 m³/hr STP. As the official EPC Contractor, Kingsley’s team is managing every stage from the initial concept to the final handover.

A Sustainable Solution with Large Capacity

The STP is designed to process 600 cubic meters of sewage daily, meeting the needs of over 13,500 people at the site. It strictly complies with Bangladesh’s Department of Environment (DoE) and the Environmental Conservation Rules (ECR) 2023 discharge regulations. For Tarasima Apparels, this goes beyond meeting legal requirements - it’s a commitment to environmental responsibility, safeguarding local water resources, and supporting the long-term sustainability of Bangladesh’s textile industry.

Advanced MBBR Technology for Efficient Biological Treatment

At the core of the plant is Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology. This is the powerhouse of modern biological wastewater treatment, utilizing specialized high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bio-media that hosts dense colonies of microorganisms. These microbes efficiently break down organic pollutants with continuous aeration and mixing that create optimal conditions for biofilm growth. This ensures consistent operation even when wastewater flows vary.
The outcome is clean, treated water suitable for non-potable uses - such as toilet flushing, garden irrigation, or general utilities. This enables Tarasima Apparels to significantly reduce its freshwater consumption, promoting water conservation throughout its facilities.

Compact Design with Reliable Operation

Despite its capacity, the plant occupies just over 2,800 square feet. Treatment begins with screening and equalization to manage incoming flows, followed by anoxic and MBBR bioreactors for thorough biological processing. Solids are removed in a lamella clarifier, and the water then passes through pressure sand filtration and UV disinfection. The result is clear, hygienic water that is safe for reuse. The entire system operates around the clock, consuming only about 247 kWh per day, making it both dependable and cost-effective.

Commitment to Engineering Excellence

Kingsley Engineering approaches every project with a strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and close collaboration with clients. We oversee all aspects from the initial design to operator training, to ensuring everything operates smoothly and fulfills the client’s practical requirements. For Tarasima Apparels, this plant represents a true investment in employee wellbeing, regulatory compliance, and environmental leadership. It demonstrates the company’s commitment to responsible industry practices.

Setting a New Standard for Environmental Engineering in Bangladesh

This project joins Kingsley’s expanding portfolio of successful wastewater solutions for major clients like BGMEA, Cityscape Tower, Cotton Club (BD) Ltd., CRC Textile Ltd., Eco Intimates Ltd., and Paradise Washing Ltd.
